歷經資格審查及兩次視訊面試後，終於順利拿到漂洋過海坐飛機來的証書。
如果不是疫情的關係，應該會考慮去大會現場領的 (其實是想摸一下那根金色的權杖)，今年是在美國加州的聖地牙哥舉辦。
以後在自己的名字後面，除了 MD 以外，還可以加上 FACS

FACS = Fellow of the American College of Surgeons
中文有人翻作「美國外科學院院士」或「美國外科醫師學會會員」
名字的後面加上 FACS 代表的是外科醫生的教育和培訓、專業資格、手術能力和道德操守已經通過了嚴格的評估，並被認為符合學院制定和要求的高標準。
証書
証書的質感不錯，圖案是立體燙金的，圖中的樹葉、人身上衣服的皺褶都很細緻清楚。
圖案上面還有一句拉丁文的箴言「Omnibus per artem fidemque prodesse」，英文翻成「to serve all with skill and fidelity」 或「to heal all with skill and trust」
証書內文的字體不太容易辨識，再加上不是使用生活用語，我還去查一下才確定它寫的是什麼？
像第一句：「To all to whom these presents shall come, Greeting」其實就是一般講的「To whom it may concern」，而「presents」在這裡的意思不是禮物，而是文件。
